No. But there’s a good reason for this: for the new Pinball FX, EVERY SINGLE TABLE in our library has been remastered, updated, and optimized in Unreal Engine to deliver the best pinball experience going forward. This process required considerable effort that, had that effort not taken place, would have left all classic tables already released behind forever. They would not have been able to make the jump to Pinball FX at all due to using an entirely different, more advanced engine. With 70+ new tables we hope the new game has exciting pinball moments, all the while we will not take FX3 off the store so those tables can be enjoyed there.

But we're always striving to make exciting discounts in the game to make sure that the support of players who invested in previous pinball platforms is recognized.

Backward Compatibility on Nintendo Switch

However, the tables that arrived to Pinball FX on the Nintendo Switch on 2024 December 1, 2025 February 27, and 2026 February 12 are backward compatible with previous Pinball FX3 purchases.

These are:

Williams™ Pinball Volume 1

Williams™ Pinball Volume 2

Williams™ Pinball Volume 3

Williams™ Pinball Volume 4

Williams™ Pinball Volume 5

Williams™ Pinball Volume 6

Universal Monsters Pack

Indiana Jones™: The Pinball Adventure

Bethesda® Pinball

We recognize that this step is disappointing to players on other platforms, however, we feel the need to return to our roots, one step at a time. This means free backwards compatibility, where possible, step by step. It is important to note that we still face challenges with this concept, as not all platforms or licensors share the same philosophy in this day and age. However, where it is possible, we will try to make this happen.

The legacy bundle option is available on Steam, meaning that if you purchased the table packs in Pinball FX3, you will get a discount from the full price.
